What's Happening at ECV

The Fruit of Our Freedom
Last week Matt continued our time in Galatians by talking to us about what are freedom was for - namely, to live as free persons who steward that freedom by lovingly committing to serving each other, despite our differences. If you missed this talk, check it out here. This week Julian will take us through the next section of Paul's letter, where Paul talks about what it means to have the Spirit of God lead us in our freedom. What on our own do we naturally want to do, and how do those works of ours differ from what the Spirit of God desires and produces for us? He'll be sharing personally about how the lesson of being led by the Spirit has brought forth new fruit in his life.
Our Stories

On Sunday, God reminded us that weakness is strong in His eyes. Given that, God invites our church to give dignity, preference, and honor towards those who identify as weak as an expression of our love of neighbor. This is part of what it means for our community to live into the freedom of the "new creation." How should we respond to God's love and encouragement in this? Thank God, share stories, and seek further freedom! If you have a story from Sunday or from this series, e-mail
stories@elmcityvineyard.org
and the staff will follow-up with next steps. Also, e-mail our Pastoral Care team to set up times to pray about greater freedom in your life. ECV, let's continue to live into the new creation.
