What's Happening at ECV

Costly Love
What if the love that we want is a love that costs? Love is a popular sentiment in our culture. After all, who wouldn't want more love? We want love to make us happy, to motivate us, and to make us feel connected. What if having more of that love truly cost us something? Our time, our image, our money? What about our lives? Love costs us. Yet, that cost produces a powerful kind of love. This Lenten season at ECV, we will look at how to pursue a love that costs and what God's story has to do with that aim. Josh will kick off the series this Sunday by looking at a few stories Jesus shared to illustrate the everyday costs made by a God who loves us.

Ash Wednesday Service
Tonight @ 6pm

We are hosting a family friendly Ash Wednesday service tonight with First and Summerfield United Methodist Church. Come join us as we focus on our need to turn toward God and press into what He has for our whole church. There will be a brief liturgy followed by a time to receive ashes and walk through stations designed to help us connect with God to mark the beginning of the Lenten season.

Lent is an ancient season in the church calendar marking an intentional time to connect with God while remembering Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Tonight, bring your family and friends and come join us as we prepare our hearts for this special season.
