Sacred Text Reading: Wednesday, April 18, 7:30pm, 810 Elm St.
Our friends at Pathways for Mutual Respect have invited members of ECV and Masjid Al-Islam to engage in a series of sacred text readings, which have been really rich times together.
The basic structure involves a reading from the Qur'an with some explanation from a leader at Masjid Al-Islam, a reading from the New Testament with some explanation from a leader from ECV, with the majority of time reserved for conversation together.
So, let me encourage you to come and join the conversation Wednesday evening at 7pm. We will be meeting at the Hartleys' place at 810 Elm St. I look forward to seeing you there.

Kingdom Cafe: Friday, April 27, 4:00-6:00pm, United Church on the Green
The Kingdom Cafe is an open mic, spoken word outreach event to provide a safe space for the youth of New Haven to express themselves through poetry and song. To make it happen, we need people to help set-up, clean-up, provide snacks, and hang out with kids. If you can do any or all of these things on Friday, April 27th, please contact George.
