What's Happening at ECV

The Writings on the Wall
Last week Josh took us through Daniel 3 and challenged us to think about submitting only to God, even in the face of life-threatening consequences. This week, Julian will talk about Daniel 4 and 5, showing us how God used Daniel to inform leaders of their pride and of both God's restoration and judgment.
Artist Circle
2/1 @ 7pm

Are you a Writer? Songwriter? Painter? Poet? Sculptor? Photographer? Musician? Designer?
Join us on the first Monday of every month at 84 Mansfield St. at 7pm for a time of sharing and creating. Bring one piece of art to share with the circle, as well as any instruments or supplies you need to do some creating on the spot. That simple! All experience levels are welcome. Contact Tracie or Marylin with questions.

Run for Refugees
2/7 @ 10am

The annual Run for Refugees is happening two Sundays from now. The scenic 5k that runs through East Rock benefits IRIS, a non-profit organization that helps refugees begin their lives in Connecticut. Visit this website for more information and if you would like to run or walk with a group, contactLaura.

IRIS is one of ECV's Partners and this is a great way for our community to support their work.

Ash Wednesday
February 10th

Lent is coming soon!
Lent is an ancient season in the church calendar marking an intentional time to connect with God while remembering Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. We will have more information about our Ash Wednesday service soon but save the date and begin praying for God to have His way in our lives.
