What's Happening at ECV

The Fiery Furnace
Last Sunday, Josh spoke on chapter 2 of Daniel and the importance of interpreting secular dreams in the world around us through God's wisdom. Listen here. So far, Daniel has used his faith to bless the people of Babylon as he obeys God creatively while moving towards the Babylonian people in the face of difficulty. This Sunday, we'll examine what Daniel does when he is called to worship something other than God. Are there things in our culture that demand our worship anymore? How can we respond with faith to this challenge?

MLK Family Event

Thank you to all who came out to celebrate and remember the life and work of MLK with us on Monday! We had over 70 people between our two family events! Highlights included listening to and singing deeply moving spirituals, reading about the life of MLK, and creating artwork together. May we be a community that sees the Kingdom of God come as we pursue His justice and peace together!

Joy! A Night of Celebration

1/22 @ 7:30p at FSUMC
Join us at First and Summerfield on Friday, the 22nd, as we celebrate joy in light of MLK Day. When we speak of race and ethnicity, it is easy to focus on problems to be solved, not real people and cultures to be celebrated. Join us as we let God lead us into joy thorough poetry, music, scripture, liturgy, and more.
Childcare will be provided.

Check Out A Homegroup

Homegroups meet in homes throughout the city and there are options for all nights of the week. These are great spaces for going deeper with one another, prayer, and challenging conversations.
Weather you are just trying church out for the first time, or you have been following Jesus for years, you are welcome at our Homegroups. Visit our website for details or email Shyla to find out which homegroup would be a good fit for you.
