What's Happening at ECV

Being Church

Summer Teaching Series
This week, we continue our summer teaching series through 1 Corinthians called Being Church with chapters 12 & 13 which ask the question: What is your gift? Your specialty? That special thing you have to offer the world and those around you? This SundayGeorge Black will share with us how using your gifts builds up The Church, and will remind us that we are all one body. Join us as we continue to discover together what it is to be church together.

Summer Prophecy Group

7:00-9:00 pm
1st & 3rd Wednesdays
TONIGHT!
36 Tilton Street, Apt D

This summer, on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays there is a gathering at Jane and Eric Jueland's for anyone who wants to practice hearing from God for one another and process the experience of participating in prophetic ministry together. If you were stirred up by the Life With a Living God conference to step out into prophetic ministry, or if you are feeling led to investigate this way of hearing from God more, this is a great group for you. Weather permitting, we'll meet in the back yard.

Summer Bible Study

Thursdays @ 8 pm
47 Dyer Street

Paired with the summerSunday teaching series, Matt will be leading a mid-week bible study covering the parts of the letter from which thenext Sunday's teaching will draw. There's too much in each week's passage to fit in a Sunday talk, so if you really want to dig in and follow the whole flow of the letter, join us Thursday nights. The study will be both intentionally accessible to those new to the bible and/or new to faith and also rich for those who've spent a lot of time studying scripture, so come check it out and invite a friend!

New Haven Prayer Watch

Now - End of August

O [New Haven], I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.  Isaiah 62:6

At ECV one of our core values is the city of New Haven, and we consistently pray for its peace and its people. This summer we are joining with churches around the city for a 24/7 prayer watch during these summer months when violence historically increases. We will be praying for peace in the city, for God to be made known, and for greater unity among churches and all God's people in New Haven and beyond. You can sign up for a time slot (or many time slots!) here
