What's Happening at ECV

Being Church Summer Teaching Series Last week, Matt continued our summer teaching series through 1 Corinthians called Being Church. He talked about God's invitation to us to be an imaginative community that serves to discern how we can walk into greater and greater degrees of holiness. (If you missed it, you can check it out here.) This week, we continue with chapters 8 and 9, which ask the question: What are rights for? Join us as we continue to discover together what it is to be churchtogether.

Summer Prophecy Group 7:00-9:00 pm 1st & 3rd Wednesdays 36 Tilton Street, Apt D This summer, on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays there is a gathering at Jane and Eric Jueland's for anyone who wants to practice hearing from God for one another and process the experience of participating in prophetic ministry together. If you were stirred up by the Life With a Living God conference to step out into prophetic ministry, or if you are feeling led to investigate this way of hearing from God more, this is a great group for you. Weather permitting, we'll meet in the back yard. Summer Bible Study Thursdays @ 8 pm 47 Dyer Street Paired with the summer Sunday teaching series, Matt will be leading a mid-week bible study covering the parts of the letter from which the next Sunday's teaching will draw. There's too much in each week's passage to fit in a Sunday talk, so if you really want to dig in and follow the whole flow of the letter, join us Thursday nights. The study will be both intentionally accessible to those new to the bible and/or new to faith and also rich for those who've spent a lot of time studying scripture, so come check it out and invite a friend! Artist Circle Monday, July 7 192 Mansfield 7pm Are you a Writer? Songwriter? Painter? Poet? Sculptor? Photographer? Musician? Designer? Join us Monday night. Bring one piece of art to share with the circle, as well as any instruments or supplies you need to do some creating on the spot. That simple!
