What's Happening at ECV

Kingdom Justice Rob Morris Sunday Gathering March 2nd At the Sunday Gathering this week we will have a guest teacher. Rob Morris is the President and Co-founder of LOVE146, an international human rights organization working to end child trafficking and exploitation. LOVE146 is one of our ministry partners doing work that is close to the heart of ECV. Join us as Rob Morris shares his heart and desire to see God's kingdom justice expand here on earth.

Artist Circle Monday, March 3rd 546 Chapel 7pm Are you a Writer? Songwriter? Painter? Poet? Sculptor? Photographer? Musician? Designer? Join us Monday night. Bring one piece of art to share with the circle, as well as any instruments or supplies you need to do some creating on the spot. That simple! Also happening this week is an exhibition, Transitions, featuring three artists from our very own artist circle; Eoin Burke, Tracie Cheng, and Jon Seals. The exhibition opened on Monday and will be up through June. Stop by the Institute of Sacred Music during the opening reception Wednesday  evening to support our artists. Lenten Teaching Series We all have things in our lives that we know need to change. Habits, patterns, ways we view ourselves or others. Sunday, March 9, we will be kicking off our Lenten teaching series, "12 Steps to Transformation." From then until Easter (for the church season of Lent), we're going to be seeking God's transformation in our lives, using the structure of AA's "12 Steps," which, at their root, embody fundamental biblical teaching about sin, repentance, forgiveness, and transformation. So, be sure to come—and invite a friend to join you. God has the power to change lives.

Prayer Walk  Saturday, March 8th 1:30pm Meeting place TBA At ECV we have a heart for the city of New Haven. Connecting to the city is one of our core values, but sometimes it's hard to know where to start. How can we impact New Haven for the Kingdom of God? How can we participate it in what God is doing? The first step is to pray...pray for the place were we live. Join us on March 8th for a prayer walk around New Haven to lift up the city in prayer and to listen for God's direction and God's heart for the city.
