What's Happening at ECV

Receiving the Gift of Limits
Teaching Series

Sunday, Matt kicked-off a new teaching series, Receiving the Gift of Limits. The talk focused largely on our responsibility to live within the particular limits that make us the individuals God created us to be. If you missed it—or if you'd like to share it with someone who missed it—it's online here. This coming Sunday, Ryan McAnnally-Linz asks about living within the limits God has set for us as communities: Are communities similarly limited? How can we receive our communal limits as gifts?

6-7 This Week: The Theology of Limits

Sunday, November 10th
6:00-7:00pm, BYOD

(Bring your own dinner)
United Church on the Green

As Matt mentioned Sunday, this whole topic of limits is new to many of us. This Sunday, in the 6-7 hour, our first two speakers in the teaching series, Matt & Ryan, will be facilitating a conversation on some of the theological questions raised by trying to take seriously our status as finite human creatures. So, grab some dinner, bring your questions, and we'll see you at 6.

A Night of Soulful Music

with Julian Reid & Tina Colón

November 17th
@United Church on the Green
This Sunday after service, ECV will host a concert featuring our very own Julian Reid and Tina Colón. The evening will feature original jazz arrangements of gospel and soul songs--Julian will be on the piano, and Tina will be singing. The concert will be free of charge--invite your friends, it's going to be good.

Family Sunday

On Sunday, October 27th we had a special "Family Sunday" Worship Gathering where we held a combined worship experience for adults and children upstairs. We'd love to hear more about your experience with and opinions about that worship service - whether or not you were able to make it. We will use this info to help make our Family Sundays even better! Please click here to fill out a quick feedback form  by Friday, November 15th.
