What's Happening at ECV

Youth Forum

Friday, Nov. 16th
4:30-6:30pm
@ United Church on the Green

The New Haven Youth Forum is a chance for teens in New Haven to come and discuss issues that are affecting them. There will be a time of refreshments and mingling followed by some topic-focused discussion. The discussion this week will center around experiences of fathers and fatherlessness. Spread the word and invite teens you know! To be involved or help out, contact George

The City and Social Action Roundtable Report

About 25 people gathered Sunday night to discuss both concrete efforts (e.g., foster parenting, Agape Church, youth mentoring) and ambitious dreams (e.g. street pastoring, ESL programs, community center).  We emphasized how we could empower ECVers to pursue good works that God seems to be putting on their hearts.  If you think God might be putting something on your heart, get in touch with Josh Williams or John Hartley. Marriage Event: Save the Date!

The Pastoral Care Team is planning an event for married couples on December 1st.  If you are married, you do not want to miss this!  More details to come in the near future. For now, sync your family calendars and reserve December 1st for some quality time with your spouse.

Sunday Team Spotlight: Agape

Sundays, 8:00am

If you feel called to bless and befriend the homeless of New Haven, consider checking out Agape church for the Homeless.  It is a community of folks who live in shelters, outside, and in homes and which seeks to uplift one another through teaching, prayer, and fellowship.  Friendships are built across barriers and God meets us all with His grace. To volunteer for Agape or any Sunday team, click here.
