What's Happening at ECV

Christmas Eve Service

This year, we will hold a joint Christmas Eve service with First and Summerfield's congregation at 5:00pm on 12/24 upstairs in the sanctuary. Expect to hear many carols and to hear the story of God drawing near to us through scripture. Childcare will be provided.
Family Christmas Service
Sunday 12/28

This past Sunday, Tina continued our Advent series by exploring the story of the heavenly host of angels visiting shepherds, those on the margins, and how we can learn about God's character from the way He chose to enter the world. You can listen to the talk here.

On the Sunday following Christmas, at 4pm, we will continue our Advent celebrations by having a Family Christmas service upstairs with the whole church, including Sprouts(!). We hope this season is a blessed one for all and feel free to invite friends.
Uganda Update

On Sunday, Josh shared several ways ECVers can continue our partnership with God's work in Uganda. In July, there is a one month cross cultural internship that engages issues like poverty and civil war. In addition, there is a one year internship with placements in fields such as health care, teaching, and counseling. Join us in prayer for these efforts and consider how you might be involved. If you have questions, please email Josh.
Transition Check-in

If you have been with ECV this Fall, you know that we have undergone some exciting transitions - not just our building ones either. We want to carve out some time to check in, as a congregation, to see how these transitions are going. This will take place January 18th, Sunday, downstairs right after church. This will include discussions on vision, staffing and leadership, and other structures in the church. The staff and elders would love to hear what is important to you as we continue to follow Jesus as a community.
