What's Happening at ECV

How to Hear from God

At ECV, hearing from God is a central practice in our community whether it is through scripture, prayer, or stillness and quiet. If God is living, active, and responsive to us in our world today, then that changes everything. This Sunday, there will be a class on hearing from God where we will talk through scripture about God's voice, engage in practices of reading and experiencing the Bible, and experiment with several kinds of listening prayer. Dinner will be provided. Please RSVP to josh@elmcityvineyard.org, especially If you have any dietary restrictions.
Called

On Sunday, Josh talked about Jesus' call for us to die to the empire of self (the ways we cater to ourselves in small and big ways) in order to make room to follow him. Listen to the talk here. This Sunday, Josh will conclude our 'Called' series by talking about God's call for us to live and to live abundantly. What would an abundant life look like for you? For ECV? For New Haven? Come this Sunday and let's ask God together!

Operation Christmas Child
Every Sunday in October

A good number of boxes have already come in for OCC. Thanks! Hannah has more gift boxes, so if you want to take one home to pack, email her or find her at church.

OCC is a project that provides shoeboxes of small gifts for children in developing countries around the world! Throughout October, we are collecting pre-packed shoeboxes or loose items (ex. toiletries, toys, school supplies) on Sundays. Join us in the fun of giving!

E-mail Hannah with questions.
