What's Happening at ECV

Called  God is calling us forward, day by day, step by step. We are seeing Him move in our community, and we want more of that. On Sunday, Josh talked about Jesus' way of calling us out of sin: gracious, generous speech as he dares us to be honest with our true selves - the only self he can really rescue. Listen to the talk here. This Sunday, Asha will ask the question, "What does God's call to fruitfulness look like?" How does our idea of a "good job" compare to God's call to bear fruit that will last? Come and find out. Operation Christmas Child Through October  OCC is a project of Samaritan's Purse (a Christian international relief organization) that provides shoeboxes of small gifts for children in developing countries around the world! Throughout October, we are collecting pre-packed shoeboxes OR loose items (ex. toiletries, toys, school supplies) in designated areas on Sundays. Join us in the fun of giving! We start this Sunday! Kingdom Café Update Thanks for praying for Kingdom's Café debut in a new place, the Af-Am House, and with a new partner church in BCAY. The café was well attended and the teens congratulated George on an amazing new space. Many of the poems were personal and vulnerable, showing just how much trust has been fostered over time. Please pray for God to bless those who attend KC and to give ECV wisdom in how to serve these teens well. Marriage/Relationship Tune-Up October 17-18 Vineyard Church Parish Center, 510 Village Walk Plaza, Guilford, CT Times: Fri 7:15-9p, Sat 3-5p Price: $10/couple, Childcare provided!
