What's Happening at ECV

Prayer Training
October 20th & 27th
after Sunday Gathering

Want to practice hearing God for yourself and discerning His voice in community? Join us this Sunday as we explore listening to God through scripture, listening prayer, and contemplative practices. This is the first in two trainings with the second (October 27th) focusing on praying for others.  That training will cover how to bless, heal, and promote freedom through prayer ministry. All experience levels welcome. The first conversation is not a prerequisite for the second. Dinner provided. RSVP to Josh.

Apple Picking!

Saturday, October 19
@ Bishop's in Northford
1920 Middletown Avenue, Northford

Join us in the time-honored autumn tradition of Apple Picking on Saturday. We will be going to the Northford location of Bishop's Orchards.  The picking will start from there at 10:30am. In addition to the fun of picking apples, there is a bumpy wagon ride to enjoy and a little shop to satisfy your cravings for apple cider donuts and pie. If you NEED a ride to the orchard OR if you can GIVE a ride, RSVP to Rich Langford. He'll email you with more info. Hope to see you there!

Worship Night

Saturday, October 19th
6:30 Worship Team Interest Dinner
7:30 Open worship for all
47 Dyer Street

If you are on the worship team or INTERESTED in being part of the worship team, then join the worship leaders on Saturday night for dinner.  At the dinner you will get to know the team and find out how to get involved. THEN stick around for an informal evening of praise and worship. The worship time is open to anyone who wants to come and engage in some extended worship. RSVP for dinner to Tina.

Citywide Open Studios

October 26 & 27
at the Goffe Street Armory
For a while now, many of us have been praying and advocating for community-oriented redevelopment of the Goffe St. Armory. The first event to happen in this space since the city took over ownership of the building will be a showcase of local artwork, Citywide Open Studios. ECV artists Tracie Cheng and Eoin Burke will be showing their work. Come check it out. As a way of serving our city, a few of us will be helping artists install their work Tuesday, 10/22 from 5pm-8pm. If you'd be able and willing to help during that time, contact Matt.
