What's Happening at ECV

Women's Brunch Sunday, October 6th 11am 54 Diamond St. Attention women! You are all invited to brunch on Sunday ! There will be yummy food and lots of conversation and fellowship. We will also be brainstorming ideas for ways to support and encourage one another in life with Jesus, and we'll talk a bit about upcoming events like a women's retreat in November. Come and get to know the other women in the ECV family! RSVP to Sarah so we can make sure there is plenty of food.

The Person of Jesus Sunday Teaching Series Last Sunday we looked at the Friendship of Jesus and how he speaks to us. This Sunday we'll consider Jesus's lack of fit with our world as a consequence of his intimacy with and obedience to the Father. What would it would mean for us to imitate him in this fundamental posture? As we continue to listen, discern, and obey, let's see how obedience like Jesus's can transform us. If you have missed any part of the series so far, you can find the recordings here.     Artist Circle Monday, October 7th 546 Chapel St. 7pm Are you a Writer? Songwriter? Painter? Poet? Sculptor? Photographer? Musician? Designer? Join us Monday night. Bring one piece of art to share with the circle, as well as any instruments or supplies you need to do some creating on the spot. That simple!   Giving Update Thanks so much to all who give so generously to invest in what God's called us to in our church, our city, and around the world! This past quarter, thanks in part to a substantial one-time gift, our giving was about $3,000 more than we had budgeted. Praise God!
