What's Happening at ECV

Questions Jesus Asks

This Lent, we're encountering Jesus through the questions he asks. Last Sunday we considered the question: "Does this offend you?" If you missed the talk, you can listen to it here. It was a challenging, thought-provoking look at what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Here's a preview of next week's talk, "Who do you say I am?" (left). Finally, if you didn't get a prayer guide yet you can pick one up in homegroup or at church on Sunday. In the meantime, check out the prayer guide online or download it and print what you need.

Good Friday Service

Friday, March 29th
6:00-7:00pm
211 Park St.

Please plan to join us for our Good Friday service. There will be scripture reading, a brief talk, and time for reflection on the significance of Jesus' death. Childcare will be provided. We will meet in Yale's Afro-American Cultural Center at 211 Park St. The building is set off the street a little bit, so you'll need to walk down the sidewalk (as though headed toward York St) to gain access to the building. ECV Scientists and Health Professionals

The ECV scientists and health professionals group is for anyone involved in science and/or a medical profession. The vision for the group is to know, support, and pray for one another as we navigate life in the medical/science world. We plan to meet once a month for discussion and prayer. Our first discussion will be centered around excellence, balance, and how we follow Jesus in the midst of the pressures we often experience. For more information or to join our email list, contact Katie Smith.

Stories

But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds. Psalm 73:28

As we journey together through the Questions Jesus Asks teaching series and prayer guide, we expect God to be at work. Josh Williams will be collecting stories of how Jesus is speaking and moving during this season. Please send your stories of how you are encountering Jesus to stories so that we can encourage one another along the way.
