Special Giving Opportunity

A couple weeks ago at the Playwright, Yale sophomore Liz Marshman shared her story of deciding to start following Jesus last term. Central to her testimony was her sense of calling to international development—and a realization that the only hope for such work is tied up in dependence on God in His work "to encourage us to give up our human desires and return to Him, return to love, and break down the institutions that create such poverty and inequality."

This summer, Liz is returning to the Dominican Republic where God first encountered her at the intersection of her passions and His purposes. She'll be working again with Students International, an well-established Christian missions organization that partners with local ministries, in Jarabacoa. She'll be working together with the dentists who minister with SI to determine the design requirements for a mobile dental clinic that the Yale Chapter of Engineers Without Borders has committed to help design over the next academic year, under Liz's leadership.

Anyway,  we're stoked about what God is doing in and through Liz and so we'd like to invite you to consider supporting her financially. She'll be sharing a little more about her trip on Sunday and we'll take a special offering for her trip. Just wanted to give you the heads-up to bring your checkbook. Not gonna be around Sunday but want to support Liz? Shoot me an email and we'll make arrangements.
