Driven CD Release Party & Worship Night

CD Release & Worship Night
April 20, 7pm
Battell Chapel (Elm & College)

As you may have heard yesterday, in two weeks, on April 20th at 7pm, Driven, the worship ministry of the Yale Christian Fellowship, will be leading worship and celebrating the release of their new CD, Every Nation, Every Tongue. Several folks you may have seen around the Elm City Vineyard (Alyssa Stovall, Leon Powell, Tina Colon, Daniel Ramamoorthy) are core members of the team and are featured on the recording. (Also, I worked a bunch with these guys a lot over the last year as their studio geek.)

The team and the CD are devoted to worshiping God and celebrating the diversity of worship as it is embodied across cultures and continents around the globe. And this isn't just some post-modern shtick; this is who these guys are. When they sing in Spanish, in Kiswahili, or in a gospel style, they are representing their personal origins, where God first met them around the world before bringing them to Yale. This is worship that is both diverse and authentic--a real treat.

They're selling the CDs for $10 a piece and, as the production costs have been donated, the whole purchase price goes directly to funding Yale student missions to local and international destinations. You can purchase the CD online, at the release party in a couple weeks, or talk to me (Matt) and I'm sure we'll have some around the church at some point.

So, great music, great people, a great cause. Buy lots of CDs. Now. Go. Do it.
