Other than faking Khmer really well, they spent the first couple years among the poor in the capital, Phnom Penh. There Anita taught The Biblical View of Poverty and our Response at the Phnom Penh Bible College while Danny served as a teacher trainer for the Biology department at the neighborhood high school. After the birth of their second child, they moved to rural Kampong Cham where Danny assumed the role of Ex-patriot advisor for all InnerCHANGE-Kampong Cham City (IC-KCC) ministries. In partnership with more than a dozen local churches, secular NGOs, and Doctors without Boarders, the 14 national staff at IC-KCC love their neighbors in Christ's name by running Sunrise (an AIDS hospice and Home Based Care for those living with AIDS), community education (on topics such as domestic violence, peace and reconciliation, literacy, AIDS and public health), mobilize volunteers from the local churches to love the sick, orphaned, and widowed, and provide vocational training and opportunities to vulnerable women in the community.Kathy Maskellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14253917579899661552noreply@blogger.com
